I had an accidental visitor today. Jake the Lab has visited me before back on April 2, 2009. He was lost and confused on both vistis. Fortunately Jake still had the same ID Tag. A quick phone call brought the owner over to pick him up almost immediately. The owner has a new home and the fence isn't yet installed. They need to get that fence built ASAP. There was a rainstorm which rattled Jake. It t seems Jake bolted through an open garage door. All is well!

Well,
I think we have seen the last of the snow. Very wet, not really a problem as I don't have to drive daily. Maybe, the grass will green up and the trees leaf out. Still it is Colorado!

I like the premise of this group, but we need to show some passion. So far I am the only one to wirite journal entries. Does anyone else have something to say? Write about anything, the subject doesn't have to be profound or chock full of wisdom. Even a trip to the store, your favorite food, pets, etc is a start.

Hi!
Snowing today north of Denver. Light snow at the house. Planted some Tall Fescue today before the rain showers and snow arrived.

Early yesterday morning my roomate noticed a very beautiful, but confused black Lab running up and down the street. I hate seeing a lost and confused pet who was obviously looking for his home. After my roomate called the matter to my attention I knew I had to help! Closing the bedroom door to keep my two cats out of the way I brought the dog inside who promptly ate the cat's food and drank some water. Fortunately the owner of the dog had the foresight to attach an ID tag to the dog's collar. The tag had the dog's name, "JAKE" along with the his owners phone number and address. I was relieved to be able to call the owner directly. The owner and family were soon reunited with Jake.
This is a great example of how important having ID tags on your pets can be!
