I'm a 64 year-old widow. My late, beloved, husband died five years ago. We had been together 28 years - almost from the first day we met. We were hippies. We lived together for ten years before we got legally married. He was a former minister and 1/4 Native American and 1/4 Jewish - he used to joke that he had relatives named "Running Bear Rosenbaum." He was a marvelous story-teller, a good husband, a best friend, and a wonderful dad to my son. He and I met in the "inner city" in Detroit. He had been a VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) volunteer. I was (and still am) involved in the Civil Rights movement. I've worked hard all my life. I've been a teacher, a reporter, a photographer, an editor, and have worked with computers since 1977. I especially love computer graphics. I call myself a computer "folk artist" - I do computer quilts. They're hard to explain. They're computer "pictures" I make using real quilt designs with hundreds of "fabrics" that are just raster files I've created to fill my quilt designs.
Interests:
Other than computer graphics, I love having discussions with my friends, reading, movies; I love travel and just doing things. I'm very fond of my fur and feather "kids" (a dog, two cats and a parrot).
Particularly admire your special Folk Graphic talent... but ... you are WAY OUT THERE talented Queen of Everything...! LOL ... Everyday, I think I should get away from Groups and PC... some days I win and some days I lose. But have to say, if it feels good ~ do it! Like walking at the nearby beach and did get down there a couple of days ago. Hugs. ~Sharlet
