Thank you for the welcome to this knitting group. I have been knitting since Aug 2003, so I do still think of myself as a new knitter. I stopped smoking and took up knitting. I did not save any money, but I am healthier and boy did I do a lot of knitting. Scarves and hats were on everyone Christmas list that year. Since then I have knitted more hats and scarves but also bags and I love felting. I want to try my first socks. I've been told that once I knit a pair of socks I will be hooked on them. I also like the lace knitting. I made myself a lacy shawl that I just love. One of the few things that I have done for myself. I normally knit for everyone else.
