In response to a post on my journal.

Titania says:  And obviously, trying to talk intelligently with you is absolutely useless -you are angry and you have that right, but I'll waste no more time trying to dialog with you. Your ranting grows tiresome.

This sort of proves my theory that a lot of people are too dense to understand.  It has been my experience that when a person says something and another doesn't agree the conversation ends.  People don't ask questions, they only want to have everyone think the same as they do. They aren't really interested in why a person has certain opinions.  They only care about their own agenda or they want to debase anyone who says something they don't want to hear.

I'm posting to let people know what I think or just bring to attention various situations.  I don't know who's reading it.  I answer whomever writes, I try not to be nasty unless someone attacks me 1st.  If as in the case above someone is finished responding to me that's up to them.  Doesn't bother me one way or the other.  But to try to disgrace my character for what I think, IMO is narrow minded and petty.

This is a JOURNAL, it's personal.  Thoughts, opinions, experiences, etc.  No one or AARP that I know of has said what we can or can't say as far as opinions or subject, so that's all I am doing.  If someone doesn't like what I write, don't read it but have the decency to let others feel free to express what they want in their own journal.

I am not having conversations with anyone, I am replying to comments on my journal.  To imply I'm not speaking intelligently because it's not what a person wants to hear is rude.

Titania says:  he was fairly elected and he deserves the respect his office calls

IMO he was not fairly elected because for the past many years it's all slick publicity and who can insult and point out the most faults or 1/2 truths to disgrace the opponents.  Therefore I don't think it's fair that someone who has lied can buy the press and pull the wool over peoples eyes can get elected.  And it's not fair that so many people let themselves be fooled by cover ups, rumors and double talk so that they control what other people get.  It's not fair because I didn't want it and I refuse to let what other people did get in my way.

Respect?  I don't think so.  Just because someone is in any office on any level, that alone doesn't make him someone to be so honored.  This non president has lied and that's the one thing I cannot tolerate.  I think he's shifty and far from intelligent, I have no respect for anyone like that.  No matter who he thinks he is.  Hey! I was taught in grammar school over 50 years ago that we in the USA are all equal and I've not forgotten that.  So the president is as equal as I am.  That's the starting point, then we can add and deduct points for the various factors, such as being a liar, not having much experience, not being smart, and on.  So taking those points away from him, then that makes me above him.  I don't have to respect him when I know more than he does and I'm more honest and ethical.  He's not fit to clean my shoes.

As for complaining, do you think I'd be on line or anywhere else trying to tell anyone who will listen that there's a big problem IF my elected representatives would give me the time of day?  I HAVE called, gone down to their offices, written and who knows what else but they are too busy making a mess of everything to listen.
My congressman is Howard Berman, as luck would have it, his office here in the district is only blocks away from my house so I at times go there to try and communicate with his staff, they have this nasty attitude as if they are doing the public a favor to even talk to us.  And no, I don't yell and scream, I am polite, I state my concerns calmly but I get nowhere.  That's why I seem angry on line, out of frustration.  And BTW I'm not the only one who feels that way.  There was someone running against Berman this last election and his notifications to voters stated similar situations of trying to contact our congressman but getting the 'run around'.  Howard Berman is complacent, as I think many officials are who have been in office for a very long time, knowing they have no real opposition.
Maybe now you can understand a little more of what I'm trying to say. If not, so be it.  I'm angry and I'm not going to stop.  I am a citizen and that's my right.  Free Speech.  Until they take that away like they are trying to do with guns.

Titania says:
The USA is so much more than just the government and politicians. It's the people more than anything! And I don't think all Americans are stupid or idiots - if you are so unhappy here, why don't you leave and go someplace where you will be happier? I don't think you'll be missed much..

You know Titania, you are right! I should have said almost all democrats, people who live in Los Angeles and those I see on TV are stupid.  Of course not all Americans are stupid.  But the majority of them elected a non president who is a liar and of no importance because he had no experience in leadership or IMO other areas of business.  That to me makes (most) Americans stupid.
As far as moving somewhere else, in other posts I'm mentioned how I'm trying.  So think you for that advice.  Although I was born in Los Angeles and am familiar with the area so it's easier to get around here.  It is more fun to stay and complain. Don't you think?

chattgirl says:
God Bless you and send you lots of prayers. Things could be worse and hopefully, things will get better. There are lot of people that fee the same as you do. However, we can keep O"bama and Hillary in our prayers.

Thank you for your reply Chattgirl.  I guess they could be worse. I think we are headed for just that.  But since it's little by little, no one is noticing or paying attention.  I believe soon we will have many more 'rights' taken away from us and we won't even resist because we will be too numb from everything the government is doing to us.
Someone, many more people have to point out and complain about what is happening in our government.  All our money is being taken away to give to others who don't earn it and only expect handouts.  We are having to live in places we don't want to and put up with nonsense we shouldn't have to all because of the public officials who think everyone has to be equal even if they don't earn what they get.  I'm tired of it.
I'm tired of seeing our elected officials going on trips and vacations and doing a lot of unnecessary things in the name of improving the peoples lives.  Nonsense!  Give me the money they used or gave to someone else and I'll take care of myself.

I just found out tonight that Hillary Clinton is secretary of state. OH NO!  How much worse can it get?

I think I'm gong to throw up.  That's even more horrid than that disgusting ugly man who is pretending to be president, O'Bamba.

I think now there is no hope.  The USA for sure is ruined.

The USA is the worst place in the world.  Americans are so stupid.  I don't like dealing with idiot people.  They make life difficult.

I am POSITIVE that California SUCKS.

10% sales tax!  Are they for real?  Don't you think that sounds like a bit much?  I refuse to pay it. I refuse to buy anything in California.  I have enough clothes, shoes and socks, hats and coats to last me forever. Tooth paste and soap too. I can't think of anything else I need, so I'll not be spending any money here.  Those politicians  can stuff it, if they think they can take my money and waste it.

So far, so good. I have not bought anything that is charged tax.  I refuse to buy any merchandise that has a tax.  Food is the only thing I know of, unless items are bought at a garage sale (because they are considered used, and I guess already taxed) but I'm not going tot he 99 Cents Only Stores or anywhere else to buy anything where I have to pay a tax and let the state of California get my money.  They, any government, are fools.  They don't know how to spend money.  So I will not give them the opportunity to waste MY money.

If anyone is reading this, please, PLEASE, don't come to California, don't spend any money here.

California is an awful place.

BTW, there's a tiny city here about 70 miles north of Los Angeles called Ojai.  They are trying to cheat me out of a lot of money.  I recommend that people stay away from there too. As it's a tourist and resort town, some might think of going there but again, please don't spend any money there, they have been very nasty to me.

If you want to know the whole story, please email me.

And if you want to know why I'm not leaving YET. I'm still trying.  But taxes are the proplem elsewhere too.  If we buy another place, we'd have to pay more property tax and can't afford that so we have to find a house and place that is the right price.

I think we are stuck for a while.  The whole situation in the USA is awful.  The government won't leave us alone. They want to control everyone.  No one seems to care.  No one fights back.  I can't believe so many people are happy with what's going on.  I mean the way the government is holding everyone hostage and limiting our freedom.

I for one will not shut up.

Well, we have no president so what else should we do to run the country in a better way.

I hate the USA.

I hate California.

We were watching a news program on KCET a PBS station in Los Angeles.  They had a story about a situation that is happening in Thailand between two political groups.  This really bothers me, I get so angry when news reports are wrong or don't give correct information.  That is the case with this story.

We have been watching for months on Thai TV about what is going on there and it's not exactly what the PBS news made it sound like.

I wonder how many people will believe that story and not bother to find out more or know that there even is more about what PBS said.  They mislead people and made it sound like the two groups who are protesting the government and each other are the difference between the rich and poor of the country and that wasn't the issue at all. The so called experts that they interviewed were not Thai and I don't think they knew enough to give true comments.  But that's the way they were presented as what they were saying was the actual facts but they weren't.

My son is living in Thailand now, his father is Thai but here in the USA. I have friends and relatives in Thailand and many Thai friends who live elsewhere too.  I know what they think.  I know what I see. I know facts, that I believe to be true and they weren't in the PBS story.

So I'm cleaning out the back room ... finally.  It's been on going.  Thought if I really worked at it, it could be done in 2 days but there's still more to do.

Who would have thunk that a small 10 x 10 sq. foot room could hold so much STUFF.  I don't want to say it's junk, except for a very few items they are things I can use.  There's just so much of them.  I need lots of containers, mostly for mixing my glazes but how many is enough, or too much?  I need cardboard boxes but again many are empty however I never know when I might need more.  I have canvases, several water color paper packs, marbles, tools, at least 3 easels, etc., oh yes and more than a couple of hundred pounds of clay.  It will take time to use it all.

Somehow I'll find a place for everything.  Let just hope the house doesn't burn down before I do, LOL.

The last two days I've really concentrated on cleaning up the back room and yard, so I'll have a better place to work on my projects.  Been wanting to do it for a long time.  Kept letting other things get in the way.

I belong to Meet Up, a web site that has all kinds of groups with any kind of interests.  I'm in several photo groups, a murder mystery book club, art groups, atheist and a few other groups.  They have meetings all the time. I don't go to every one of them.  LOL would never be home at all but even the ones I choose to go to keep me too busy.  So I've decided to limit going out to stay home and get organized.  I never want to stop learning so these groups are fun but one just can't do more than is possible.

We went to the Thai temple on Saturday, not too much water being splashed around but it was ok.  I don't like Thai food but got one of my favorite things, sticky rice and mango.  Mummmmmm!

Sunday we cleaned all day, off and on in between resting, same thing today.  A few more days and the back room will be sort of ok to start being able to work with my paints and clay.

Someone posted this message to me, I have no idea who he is other than he's on the AARP site and had commented on my journals:

> Rather than cause you more discomfort, I will leave you in Peace! Art

Since Art, the poster of the message above might not be reading any more of my writings or at the least not send anymore messages I will say this, I do not know the meaning of what or why he wrote that strange message.

I do not know what he thinks he's causing or why it's a discomfort.

It has been my experience that many people do not comprehend what they are seeing or reading.  They 'see' what they want to see, they translate to their brain what is in the realm of their own world and do not (try to) understand the whole truth of a situation.  They 'jump to conclusions' with little facts and without trying to ask or find out the entire story.

I think the comment above by Art is an example of how people say things that do not make sense, perhaps only to them but they do not make things clear to others.  Then they leave or discontinue communications so we don't find out what is happening and can't ask them to explain.

Oh well!
