It Just Keeps Getting Better!

I am a Life and Career Coach. It's the most wonderful job  and life in the world!

Why you ask?  Because I LOVE what I do and i get to do what comes naturally to me - work with people to find greater meaning and happiness in their life.

It took me years of working in both the profit and non-profit setting as well as many jobs and bosses to finally realize where I belonged in the world. I am a Social Worker by degree and profession and worked  for years in the mental health field helping people find emotional well-being. From there, I was fortunate to be able to use my skills and knoweldge  and move into the corporate setting to help individuals and companies on an individual contributor level as well as organizational level with health and wellness, leadership, communication and overall human resource contribution efforts. It was fun and envigorating!

I like many others have experienced both voluntary and involuntary severance. Either way, it's a change that affects all parts of your life. Change, either initiatied or foist upon you, I believe, has to be reckoned with to move on and be truly happy.

Making the move to be self-employed, build a business, network, and live the life I love is important to me.  I want others to find the work they love, live the life they love and be happy!

We are fortunate! Thank you for your message. I am happy to hear from you and your love of your work. It is a place where we find satisfaction, meaning and fulfillment.

However, there are many of our fellow AARP members who are facing career and work transition because the economy is going through another one of it's upheavals.

At this point in our life, we have more at risk than someone youger, who has more "work life time" to "make-up" for lost employment and benefits.

Resilience, vision and forward movement are a just few of the characteristics I think are important for us to keep going and living each day - even in the face of adversity and challenge.

After being laid off by a well-know private university affected by budget constraints, I decided to take the plunge and start my own business - something I had thought of for years, but was too afraid to do. I'm glad I faced that one and moved through it to find my passion and going for it!

Fear can be a real show stopper and paralyze you and put up roadblocks to success and happiness.
