I am looking for ways to reduce the cost of medications.... i am looking and looking and there is not much help out there for me.... i am in the middle - i am not rich nor am i poor.... so what do i do?
Check out needymeds.com. Each pharmaceutical company has a different income level requirement and is more generous than the government poverty levels. I used to volunteer at a senior center and help people get help with their medication needs through this web site. I have also learned that they currently may be able to help if you are in the "Doughnut Hole". You would have to anticipate when you would reach that point and start the application process a month earlier. They have lists of meds that each company will provide assistance with. Before Medicare D arrived, I used to pay less for my meds with the help of this site than I do now with Medicare D
