Response To A Challenge

In response to JCOFLA’s Challenge to list 25 random facts about yourself, I have with exceptionally little forethought assembled my list.  I guess I can’t resist a good humored challenge. NWcountry

In my response to NWcountry’s Challenge to list 25 Random Facts About Myself, I am willing to share these little known facts about myself.

  1. I have 17 brothers and sister ( I counted them up when I thought I would win the lottery)
  2. I have four grandkids and each one has asked me to live long enough to be a grandma to their kids.
  3. I rearrange my furniture every time I have a Friday off.
  4. I only buy cars that match the color of my hair, which is a copper brown.
  5. I am an Aries but born Year of the Water Snake.
  6. I never lock my locker at work and no one has ever taken anything.
  7. I love hot Krispy Kreme glazed donuts.
  8. I am bipolar when it comes to housework and organization (I am getting ready to do an overhaul on the place).
  9. I understand the difference between lonliness and being alone.  I like alone time*(same as NWcountry).
  10. I am an indifferent cook but make Big Breakfast every Sunday for the family.
  11. I used to be 5’3
  12. I rarely watch tv but I will watch "Cashcab".
  13. I love to watch the changing colors of the sky above.
  14. I take tranquilizers when my husband drives me anywhere.
  15. I keep friends for a lifetime.
  16. I believe it that when my hand itches that money is coming.
  17. I visualize what I want to find then shop at Goodwill and on Ebay or craigslist.com and I always find it.
  18. I celebrate each day.
  19. I believe most love songs can be Praise Songs to the Lord.
  20. I never have to shave my legs. (most Indians have little or no body hair)
  21. I purge my possession by getting rid of anything I haven’t used in 3 years.
  22. I love the ways of cats over dogs.
  23. I feel compelled to fall off bridges so I never walk across one.
  24. I never get lost. I can always find new places easily and find my way back.
  25. I changed my last name six times.(I’ve only married twice)

Love your list and challenge Cby. Now I know so much more about you. This is a good journaling exercise so I believe I will take the challenge too.

I was the only child between my parents, who are full blood Indian from different tribes in Washington state. My Mother is from the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. My Father is from the Swinomish Indian Tribe. They never married, in fact my Father didn't know of my existence for many years. My Father had four kids before I was born. He divorced his first wife and later remarried and his next wife had two kids of her own. There was one boy whose mother claimed my Father was the boy's father but my Dad said it wasn't so I don't count him. Dad allowed the boy to claim him because of reasons he never shared. My first Step Father had five kids when he married my Mother. Together they had six more kids before he died. Mom remarried four times. She never had any more children.

Hi Cby,
I loved your list. I need to work on one. Then, I will share... and, compare notes.

By the way, I am the oldest of 9 children, so I am the Mayor of a small town called "We Are Family."

I can't wait to work on my list, too.

Thanks, Karean

Hi Cby,
You got my attention on the fact that you have 17 brothers and sisters. Are they biological from the same two parents? What tribe are you from? Two of my grandchildren are part Native American. My ex-daughter-in-law, (We're still friends) maiden name was Bonebreak.

I can relate to most of your descriptions including "Cashcab."
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Carol :-)
