In Memory of My Goldens: Sgt Major Kabar (6/2/1999 - 12/23/2008) & First Sgt Belleau Woods (Bella) (3/23/2000 - 11/15/2008). Portrait was painted by my friend when we found out Bella had cancer. My friend, the artist, is deaf & my Goldens were trained to recognize "silent" hand commands
CowboyBlake:
Thank you. They were somethin' special & I miss them every day. I'm sorry about your special gal. But they always stay in our hearts & memories.

I love goldens and I always have. I said goodbye to a very special girl in 2003 and I'm still not over it. She had cancer in her spine. Today I have 1 pure golden and 3 golden mixes, all are rescue souls. The picture of your fur babies is incredible. It captures the sincere love these creatures send to all of us. Blessings to you
Love the picture of your goldens.. so sorry for their passing and so close.. I have 2 goldens tha keep me company and are the greatest... I have worked with golden rescue and do obedience competitions with my two.. and a little field with the young one... I love goldens temperment and their compasion... My male (left) Kabar sadly passed away from a brain tumor on 12/23/08 (3 days after being diagnosed). My female (right) Bella sadly passed away from cancer (gastrointestinal lymphoma) on 11/15/08 (3 weeks after being diagnosed). Kabar never got over her being gone. He would lay in her spot in the backyard. Even in the rain. I would have to drag him into the house. They were wonderful companions. I really miss them. Sometimes, however, I feel them in the house with me. Now, thanks to my vet, I Kaylie "My Other Puppy". She's a sweetheart, too. She's really different. Goldens are lap dogs & thieves. Kaylie (Bullmastiff mix) is very curious but doesn't steal stuff - YET
