Who'd A Thunk It!. These are the 2 most mischievious furkids I have ever met. My best friend was widowed last year & decided that life was too quiet. So, one weekend she went to our local "Bark in the Park" and adopted these 2 sweet furbabies. They are full of mischief - but she was bound-and-determined to get them under control. Several destroyed couches and several flunked training classes later, her perseverance finally won out. They finally earned their AKC Canine Good Citizen badges. "Don't be fooled," she says. "They will be in their 'terrible 2s' forever." Last week they escaped from the "dog room" & raided the kitchen & ate everything in sight - even managed to open the frig & have a picnic. It's funny now. But at the time, not so funny. She came home to a destroyed kitchen and "poop" was every where. Plus, a trip to the vet. And I do mean "poop" was EVERYWHERE . . . the house, the yard, the car, the vet's office!
They are finally starting to grow up. Patience has won out. My friend keeps them VERY busy & has cleared out her "mud" room for them & dog proofed it. She lives in the country & has lots of room & has created an agility course for them. She started a class for "kids" & has been teaching the kids & their furkids about agility. They are having a great time & by the end of the class, the dogs are exhausted & of course really well behaved
Are these canines buddies still 'Jekyl & Hyde' types or did your training pay off? I often wonder if I was faced with a real 'case' if I'd hang in there for dear life...either mine or the canines. I hope I would be there for the entire mayhem. Fortunately, I've never been faced with a dog that was untrainable. Thank God!
Too funny! Just look at those, "What? You can't possibly be talking trash about ME!" They look like our little boys after something bad happens and nobody knows anything about it. They sure are pretty, though!
