Would you like to see one possible future for the United States? Below is a headline, and its link, to an article that has been it at least a dozen on-line news sources, telling how the Dutch Cabinet (the counter part to our Congress) have actually voted in a tax on how much people drive their cars. Though I understand it’s not OUR government, it is well worth the read.

Now obviously I cannot speak for everyone, but for me this is, like many of the taxes we are suffering these days, one more rip off of a people by those that govern them. And, guess what. This show is on its way to a city or town near you, very soon.
Much sooner then you might think, in fact, if Congress has its way. Remember that little ‘Cap and Trade’ bill that no one wants to talk about any more? The one that was already passed by our friends in the House, and is only waiting for the blessing of the ‘good old boys’ in the Senate? Well, if you look closely you’ll find a very similar provision the Dutch law lurking within the pages of that scam as well. There are, in fact, untold numbers of little items like that hidden in those pages that We The People are not allowed to see. Or, to have anything to say about it. This is the very reason no one talks about it anymore. If you don’t hear about it, you will forget about it until they have it passed and you are now subject to their idea of Utopia.
For instance, you know that house you plan to sell in a year or two when the market gets a little better? You may want to consider selling it quickly if Cap and Trade becomes law. There are provisions in that bill that will require you to nearly rebuild that home to meet the new and improved ‘standards’ that are the ‘vision’ if its creators. One of the first things that will have to go are those old drafty windows. They will have to be replace, by a licensed contractor, in order to meet energy loss standards. Those are the ‘standards’ that do not exist today. All those old non-Energy Star appliances you just installed last year will also have to be replaced with the also new and improved versions, and there is no ‘cash for clunkers’ program for those.
Though it may not hit immediately, the language already exists in the bill that would force you to have an electronic thermostat installed in your home, whether you are selling it or not, that will give the electrical utility company (at least for the time being) the ability to turn your house temperature up or down as they see fit to control electrical energy use. I think it is a pretty good bet that it will not be long until some nameless government agency will have control of that as well.
These are items that are actually in the bill today. There are scenarios that have been developed by people much smarter then me that would nearly curl your hair, to think that our government would have, or even want to have for that matter, such a level of control over every aspect of our lives.
A provision that will effect every person in the land is the idea of Carbon Swapping. What this means is not a simple thing. If it were they wouldn’t use it, because we might be able to understand it. Simply put though, every single item you own, or ever will own in the future, will have a ‘carbon footprint’. This means how much CO2 is exhausted into the air by it, or as a result of it. That is everything you have, including yourself, your kids, your car, and yes, even your dog. The meat you buy for dinner tonight will have a ‘carbon foot print’ because of the process it took to bring it to you, and the truck it was shipped on, among many other considerations.
This definition does not go nearly as far as I could to explain it, but I think you get the idea. According to the government, each person will be given a number of ‘carbon credits’ that you will use against the amount of evil CO2 you use or produce each year. You need to be very careful though, and use them wisely, because you only get so many each year. If you run out, you will have to buy more to cover the rest of the year. Now, I’ll bet you can guess who you will have to buy them from, can’t you? Of course! From your local government ‘carbon credits’ dealer. Who else?? Now is it just me, or does this sound like a SCAM to you too??
The government makes the law; the government decides the ‘carbon footprint’ of every item; the government decides what your quota of ‘carbon credits’ will be; the government sells you the extra ‘carbon credits’ you will need for the year; the government sets the price of the ‘carbon credits’; and finally, the government will decide how much jail time you will do if you refuse to pay.
Wait a minute!! I just thought of something. Doesn’t that really sounds a lot like what the government is doing with Health Care Insurance? I wonder if there is a pattern here?

Much to the shame of the House of Representatives, a so called ‘Universal Health Care’ bill was forced upon the American people yesterday evening in a very rare, very late, session of the body in Washington DC. I would think that the final vote was, more then anything, a surrender to Pelosi and Obama so the Representatives would finally be allowed to go home. They had been a captive audience for the vast majority of the day. It was, from all accounts, a marathon of deals being offered, arms twisted to the breaking point, funds promised, anything to get the needed votes.
Finally, not long before midnight, Nancy Pelosi and her lap dog, Barack Hussein Obama, finally got their way. With the help of one turncoat Republican from New Orleans, Rep.Joseph Cao, a first-term House member, they literally squeezed out a 220 – 215 vote to complete the first phase of the final law. With Rep.Cao being the one exception, the 176 Republicans must be given credit for standing their ground, along with 39 Democrats that joined the ranks of the opposition.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, of course, compared the ‘ground breaking’ legislation to that of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare in 1965. Two of the more brilliant examples of government run programs that have done so much for our lives over the years.
As this government takeover of yet another industry begins to look more inevitable, one member of the house must surly be ecstatic. Rep. John Dingell (D-Mi) has introduced national health insurance to every Congress starting in 1955. Doing so after succeeding his father. One would think that if the people had not accepted it after 50+ years, Congress would understand that the people do not want it.
What is truly frightening is that the bill, as it is now, is 1,990 pages long. Not a single person that has voted for, or against it, have ever read it. Nearly 2,000 pages? Of course not. That being the case, why would they vote for something this important if you could not understand its text?
Also, why would anyone vote for a bill that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates will cost We The People, $1,200,000,000,000.00 conservatively, and the (CBO) has never been right in their history. Without doubt, this will cost us at LEAST twice that amount. Yet the President can tell us, with a straight face, that this will not require any new taxes and “will not increase the deficit by one nickel.” Oh, and he has a couple of bridges he wants to sell us too.
They even added a bill to the bill that would restrict government paid abortion. Of course Sen. Charlie Rangel refused assure the Republicans that the new abortion bill would remain as part of the health care bill after the Senate gets hold of it.
The bill will further REQUIRE most Americans to carry insurance. This is a mandate that will require both companies, and We The People, to carry insurance like it or not. If we defy the government there will be substantial penalties imposed through the IRS. The IRS?
Because of the ‘central medical database’ provision, the medical records of all those insured will be collected and stored in a government computer ‘to simplify access.’ I have to ask the question, ‘simplify access for who?’ I mean, we all know how secure our government computers are.
Finally, to pay for all this, they want us to believe that they can do so with their $400 billion cuts to Medicare over the next ten years. I’ll bet the states are just thrilled to hear that one. There will also be a 5.4% increase in taxes on singles making over $500, 000 and of families making more then $1,000,000. Remember though, no taxes on anyone below these levels. I would be very concerned about those ‘sir charges’ though. Their already talking about them.
In short, my friends, we have, once again, been sold down the river by our leaders. The worst is, this is only the beginning. There is a little bill waiting for the House to consider it call Cap and Trade. It is a climate change bill that will take from us what little we have left after the Health Care fiasco, and, if that’s not enough, there are at least a dozen bills in both houses that will effectively take away our ability to defend ourselves by removing our guns. They really are covering every base.
With all this coming down the pipe, I see little chance that we will not be a Socialist nation within the next decade. The fact is, however, it’s our own fault. We elected them. Now, we need to fire them. SOON!!

Thomas Jefferson knew very well that, if allowed, man could certainly not be controlled with out the laws derived from a constitution to restrain him. Yet Jefferson, wise as he may have been, did not foresee men as Liberals. At least not as Liberal as many have become today.
Never in our history have we been offered more evidence of outright contempt for our Constitution than by the liberal hegemony presiding over Washington today. For the first time since we were foolish enough to elect Jimmy Carter, the executive and legislative branches of our federal government are controlled, not only by Liberals, but by Liberals that can only be called vicious in their dedication to capture full and complete control of this country, Constitution or no Constitution.
While I am one, of many, that strongly disagrees with this notion. The leader of this leftist gang of Chicago style political thugs is, of course, Barack Hussein Obama. Yes, the same community organizer who promised his constituents, "This is our moment, this is our time to turn the page on the policies of the past, to offer a new direction. We are fundamentally transforming the United States of America . And generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was our time." Now is it just me, or does that sound excessively arrogant? This from a man who’s political carrier does not span a single decade.
Now, what’s worse, he’s been reading, and believing, all that fluff from the excessively Liberal Obama Media, and the man actually thinks he is in charge.
Granted, he really is a wordsmith, or he has some of the best writer I’ve ever heard. With lines like, "Everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act -- to lay a new foundation for growth." Now wasn’t that inspiring? He can really make it sound like he knows what he’s talking about. As long as the teleprompter works that is.
Yet, in this one man’s opinion, Barack Hussein Obama couldn’t "fundamentally transform" his own household, let alone our nation, if his life depended on it. If we are a nation of laws with a national government limited by our Constitution, and make no mistake w e are , then Obama has no legal authority to "transform" our anything. Let alone the Constitution, which he obviously does not understand, or care about.
Those who laid the cornerstone of our foundation were very clear about its limits on government. They made this a part of our society in the form of a Constitution that provides laws that protect against any one man gaining this kind of power.
When our first Congress enthusiastically urged George Washington to become the permanent president of the United States, he told them “You just got rid of one King George, do you truly want another?” The fact is we don’t want a King Barack either.
Regarding the legislature's authority, Thomas Jefferson tells us: "Giving Congress a distinct and independent power to do any act they please which may be good for the Union, would render all the preceding and subsequent enumerations of power completely useless.” If you stop, and look closely at what is going on today in Washington, it appears that congress is rapidly moving to set up just such a legislative authority. If we allow them to complete their work, we deserve what we get.
There is a problem, however. Our society has become so focused on our own lifestyles that we have no, or very little concern about politics. We would rather ‘let someone else take care of that.’ As a result there is no time to focus on today's political debates. We do not concern ourselves with these confusing things. We would rather walk through life politically blind, than to require Congress to answer that most essential question: What is the constitutional authority for Obama's proposals now being debated in Congress?
With all the bitterness over Obama's transformation of health care , the debate should not be centered on which if these many foolish plans is better. Rather, whether there is constitutional authority for any of the plans under consideration.
However, all factors being considered, it is unlikely such a question is forth coming anytime soon.
Recently, three leading Democrats in Congress were asked during news conferences to cite the constitutional authority for their healthcare plans. Each, and every one, responded with answers that displayed little more then and excessive arrogance and a disdain for the Constitution.
This arrogance toward the people, this lack of concern for the Rule of Law, as laid out by our Constitution, only serves to enhance the opinion that this Congress, with the support of the White House, is leading this country by the nose into a form of government that none of us will recognize or wish to be a part of. If the Health Care Bill is passed and made into law it will be the first step toward a Socialistic government in which only a few will have utter control over the masses.
The final nail America’s coffin will be the Cap and Trade bill that has already been passed by the House, and is waiting in the wings for the Senate. If this bill is allowed to pass, it will most certainly be the end of the road our country as we know it today. Say hello to Third World America.

The Ignorance of Liberty
At some point in say the past 50 years, it seems the educators of our country have taken it upon themselves to remove, or at least diminish, parts of the curriculum they felt to be ‘unimportant or unnecessary’ to the education of our youth. This does not necessarily place the blame fully on the educators. Each year there are many more subjects that need to be added to the students education. My concern is based, however, on the subjects they have chosen to diminish or, and in some cases, completely remove.
It would seem that social skill have taken the lead over patriotism, or the function of government. Teaching the fundamentals of the Constitution, the meaning of the Bill of Rights have been set aside for ‘more meaningful’ subjects.
Instilling a pride in our country, and what it stands for, has become ‘old hat’ to many of our educators, and worse, to those that actually decide on what we will pass along to our young. It astonished me to find that the Civil War had been diminished to being a “socioeconomic conflict between states” in one publishing of a high school American History text book. This was the only reference to the subject in the entire book, and this is what was taught to those children that had the misfortune to have been required to use it. Personally I think they missed an item or two in this publication. Some of them were actually important. Some, in fact, were critical.
This type of thing, and so many others, have drastically reduced the ability of our younger generations to understand even the most fundamental constitutional principles. Most of our population, under the age of 50, not only have difficulty understanding these principles, they have been so conditioned to ignore them, that there are some that actually do not even know they exist. To strong? Not in the slightest!
The fact is that, as Americans, we are expected to understand the workings of our government, and the laws that provide our freedoms and liberty. We are also expected to have enough spirit, and love for the country that provides these, that we would be willing and able to defend them, if needed. Today, however, this is considered ‘old fashioned’ and far too much trouble. “Let someone else be concerned with these trivial matters.” If you feel this way, you should hope that it is other true Americans that take on this responsibility for you. There are some that would gladly remove them, more then defend them.
Do you enjoy your liberty? Are you happy living in a country that offers you freedom? Do you enjoy living under the ‘Rule of Law’ rather they the rule of a dictator or a king? If so, then it is your responsibility to understand the system and defend the foundations on which it was built. The Constitution. As an American, you have a responsibility, and a duty as a citizen to both learn about and support our Constitution, as well as the Bill of Rights. These, and other principles are what make up the Rule of Law that you have chosen to live under.
Sadly, because ignorance is institutionalized by most government education systems, and because ignorance seems to be a virtue in our society today, it is very likely that a large part of our society will never understand this responsibility. Nor will they be aware of their loss.
Today most Americans think liberty is simply a right of birth. They enjoy their personal freedom but conveniently ‘forget’ there is a responsibility. They have never had to fight for their liberty, and as a result, have no concept of its value. They feel no gratitude for those who won it for them, and have no idea of what it has cost others to maintain. Sadly, nor do they care.
What is frightening to me is that these uncaring, uneducated, and in many cases, unfeeling people are the ones that will someday be expected to lead this nation of ours. In fact, if you haven’t noticed, many of them already are.

The Apology Tour – Fall Schedule
Barack Hussein Obama, somehow the president of the United States, has embarked on the continuation of his on going “I apologize for America” tour. This time in front of world leaders in the “United, We Hate America, Nations” just last Wednesday. In from of all those world ‘leaders’ that just cannot get over the reality that America has saved each of their collective backsides at least once, Obama bowed his head, wagged his tail and rolled over in submission, accepting blame for every up to and including beating up on the British in 1776.
All this even though he leads a nation that regularly defends others, pays for other, promotes freedom of others, and when necessary shelters others from around the world.
Once again he made clear his “Speak softly and carry a wet noodle.” foreign policy that has gain him so much respect from those he admires of much. People such as Cuban ‘freedom fighter’ Fidel Castro, Iran’s president ‘nukes for peace’ Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad, of course his buddy that supplies his reading material Hugo Chavez. His message was, in fact, exactly what these and other good friends in the EU wanted to hear. Was it because they wanted a kinder, more gentle America as their friend. I seriously doubt that is the case.
No, in fact, I think what they want is an American lap dog that will pay the bills, bail them out of when someone gets too full of themselves, and let them have their way with their own policies, regardless of the effect on America. Obama has given them everything they wanted, as well as a bonus or two they could not have dreamed of from an American president
He actually stood before these people that would wish us dead at least, and regurgitated, yet again, one of his original slaps in our collective American faces: 'I took office at a time when many around the world had come to view America with skepticism and distrust. Part of this was due to misperceptions and misinformation about my country. Part of this was due to opposition to specific policies, and a belief that on certain critical issues, America has acted unilaterally, without regard for the interests of others. And this has fed an almost reflexive anti-Americanism, which too often has served as an excuse for collective inaction.'
He did not address the 'misperceptions and misinformation' about America. He did not describe how America really is? He did not explain why it was necessary for America act unilaterally? Nothing!! He simply tossed it out there expecting ……. Well, I don’t know what he was expecting, but he darn sure didn’t get it. What he did get however, was high praise from, of all people in the world, Fidel ‘freedom fighter’ Castro, who called Obama’s speech at the United Nations "brave" and said “no other American head of state would have had the courage to make similar remarks.” Wow!! Now wouldn’t that just make your day????
Then of course he talked about Iraq. Of course he neglected to mention that the Iraqis are holding free elections not after we kicked out that pimple Husain. Instead, his comment was, “In Iraq, we are responsibly ending a war.”
On Afghanistan, he never even mentioned the Taliban. He did, however, talk against one nation: Israel!!
It wasn’t bad enough that he has apologized to nearly every person off shore of the U.S. with a stature greater than a busboy. It wasn’t bad enough that he treated the Queen of England like some ghetto sister!! It wasn’t bad enough that he bows to the King of Saudi Arabia like some fool servant. These things in themselves were not enough. How he goes before the most corrupt body on earth, and acts like their shoe shine boy.
Well, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama, I speak for no one but me when I say that you do not now, nor have you ever had the right to speak for me. My loyalty is rooted in the United States of America, not your socialist dream of America. Before you continue to apologize you truly should learn something of the history, not just of this country, but of the world.
If it were not for this country, the one you keep apologizing for, many of the countries you have this need to apologize to, would no longer exist. We save France, not once, but twice. We took back from Hitler, nearly every free country on the European continent and returned them to their rightful owners. If that wasn’t enough, we did the same thing in the Pacific theater and then rebuilt both the enemy countries and a significant majority of the others that Germany had flattened.
I guess I can understand how you might have missed these things up in school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Besides, since these things happened even before you were born I guess I can understand why they mean very little to you. What good is history to a community organizer anyway.
If you claim this to be your country, Mr. Obama, you need to learn what it is to be proud of its history, not to shame it.
I guess there may be one good thing that will come of this. Combined with your overt attempt to bankrupt America, and turn it into your socialistic dream, maybe this will be enough to wake up those that put you where you are, so we can ‘put you’ somewhere else after Jan. 2012.
Then you can apologize to all your Liberal friends. Now, see, that will be right up your ally.

It’s been nearly nine months since we went to the polls and chose between what we thought was the lesser of two evils. Seems to me we were wrong, and frankly I’ve reached the end of my patience. Trouble is, of course, we’re stuck with our choice for at least another three years. That is where the president is concerned, at least. The others? Well, that’s different. We have some other choices coming up sooner than that. But, I digress.
With all that has occurred these few months, it has become painfully obvious that Mr. Obama is nothing more than a ‘rubber stamp’ for nearly any Liberal that has the ability to write a bill, and get it passed by all the other Liberals, for approval. If it’s Liberal, he stamps his signature on it. They could have saved us all a lot of time and money and just bought a stamp at Staples or Office Max.
However, something I don’t think even they (the Liberals) had planned on is that Obama has actually started believing his own press. He’s been listening to those people at the ‘All Obama Network’ (ABC, CBS, NBC) He really thinks he IS the president. Guess he didn’t get the memo. Now instead of being the good little Liberal poster boy he was supposed to be, he’s going around appointing people to jobs that no one has ever heard of before. Czar’s?? It’s Washington, Mr. Obama, not Moscow. He has surrounded himself with a collection of tax cheats, thieves, racists, terrorists, Communists, Socialists, and just plain hoods, that would have made Al Capone proud.
He has decided that telling the truth is no longer necessary. In fact, with one or two rare, and exceedingly minor, exceptions every single campaign promise he made has turned out to be a lie.
Then he goes overseas and shamefully embarrasses the entire country at every opportunity. He treats the Queen of England like some ghetto sister, he bows to the king of Saudi Arabia like a servant, then has the audacity to claim that this is no longer a Christian nation. I wish he would tell me exactly when that occurred. I can only wonder if he has ever actually read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or any of the founding documents of the United States. Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics. The principles governing this country, come directly from this heritage. How could he not understand this? I seriously doubt that he is brain dead, yet I must admit I am open to debate on the subject.
As if that was not enough he apologizes at every turn for Americas arrogance. Arrogance?? I wonder if the French thought of us a arrogant when we gave them back their country after WW1. Oh, and again after WW2 for that matter. Were we arrogant then Mr. Obama? Wonder if he’s still using those drugs he wrote about, quite proudly by the way, in his book. The United States of America has nothing to apologize for to anyone Mr. Obama, and you do not have the right to make such an apology on your own accord, even if we did. Least of all the many countries which owe their freedom, and in some cases their very existence, to our youngest, and best, that have given their lives repeatedly over the course of many decades.
The job description of the President of the United States of America does not include making an idiot of yourself in almost every quarter of the known world. One would think that someone in his position would have some idea of the history of the 20th century. Of course with as little time as he has overall in politics, I guess I should be more understanding.
He refused to visit the graves of our greatest generation because he feared offending the Germans? He offended our own war dead, and in the same stroke gave the Germans more respect than those who not only saved Europe, but also saved the German people from themselves.
His performance over these past months has convinced me that he has the historical, and intellectual, depth of a marble. A small marble. He should be ashamed of himself, and I would also include nearly every member of his administration as well. The lot of them are so self-righteous, and morally offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real criminals at the root of this situation seems to concern them. What about Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What does he intend to do about them? Anything? Not a chance!! Talk about your ‘good ol’ boy’ network.
Oh, and as long as I’m on the subject of the ‘good ol’ boy’ network, what about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their own staff members? That’s in addition to the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 10% cut in my pay to help my employer stay afloat. They pass out this kind of money in Washington with one hand, and press the economic ‘flush handle’ with the other.
Who authorized that, by the way, Mr. Obama? I surely didn't! Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over the next year and a half. That's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. I don’t remember the people having anything to say about that one either. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million. Pretty good work if you can get it, wouldn’t you say Mr. Obama? Who approved that one? If your so worried about the economy why haven't you expressed your outrage. Even a small show of irritation would help.
Mr. Obama, I strongly resent that you take the citizens of this country to be uncaring and brain-dead. We are watching your every move, and we are getting increasingly fed up with your ‘who cares’ attitude toward our opinion. I, personally, have come to find nearly everything you do and say to be offensive to every true American. Even more so, your attitude toward those of us that speak our mind in protest to what your doing.
We are not un-American, we are not ‘brown shirts’, we are not ‘terrorists’, God knows we’re not organized which you should be thankful for. You seem to have forgotten that as Americans, we have the RIGHT to protest when we think something is wrong. I’m sure this would not be the case in you wonderful Socialistic vision of how things should be, however, again Mr. Obama, this is still a FREE country. You should understand that we plan to see to it that it stays that way. Our movement is not made of Astroturf as some of your friends have labeled it. You can send all the union thugs and ACORN punks you can find, they will not shut us up.
Mr. Obama, WE THE PEOPLE, will not allow you too turn our country into a suburb of Paris. Or any other Socialist or Communist country, for that matter. I think your right about ‘change’ though. I think we need a change of a large majority of the House of Representatives, and equally large majority of the Senate, and a decidedly larger change in the Administration. I look forward to 2010.

For nearly everything we try to change any more there is a “12 Step” plan. So, here is my 12 Step Plan for bringing our country back to some sense of reality. There are hundreds of more steps that need to be addressed but this seems like a good place to start, at the least.
Now remember, these are my opinions. You bone heads out there that demand ‘research’ on how to go to the toilet, try hard to remember that. OK? So, here goes:
1. Illegal immigration.
We need to stop coddling illegal immigrants. Secure our borders, destroy the underground tunnels. No amnesty, not again. Find and send back all those criminals that are living here illegally. They can come back the honest way or not at all. For the bone heads: I'm not a racist. I just want it done legally. We also have all the laws we need. Just enforce them.
2. The TARP bill.
It needs to be repealed and no further funding supplied to it. We told them no, and as usual, they did it anyway. Now their whining because the hotshots that got the first of the money made fools of them with it. Enough said. The remaining unfunded 95%, leave it in the treasury where it belongs.
3. Czars.
Since when do we use Russian titles, and powers for that matter, for the heads of our various department. Our system uses checks and balances to avoid failure. These are laws, people, not suggestions. Fire the czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop ignoring our Constitution. It’s done just fine for more than 230 years. Where do these folks get the idea that they know how to do it better. They don’t!
4. Cap and Trade. (now this is a big one)
This has nothing to do with global warming. It is a power grab by the Liberal Congress, plain and simple. It is part of their own “12 Step Plan” to bring the people of this country ‘under control’. News Flash: This is America. Land of the free. Not Land of the Controlled by taxes. Let the tree huggers go hug their trees, and let the rest of us keep the little bit you’ve left us from our paychecks.
5. Universal healthcare. (another really big one)
The healthcare system in this country needs some corrections and fine tuning. That is a fact that I think we all agree on. What it does not need is the government taking overall control. They have NEVER operated a single program honestly and efficiently anytime in history. For references I give you: Social Security, Medicare, the U.S. Tax Code, Veterans Administration, Post Office. Need more? There are plenty to choose from.
Even if I wanted this Healthcare bill, I will not be rushed into another financial disaster. Nor will I allow the Congress and their rubber stamp President to pass something this important in the middle of the night, without the American people having a say in it. Note, I said ‘even if I want it’, which I certainly DO NOT. We can make the needed changes without government intervention.
6. ACORN. (and any other group like them)
I do not want anything to do with ACORN, or any of its affiliates. I certainly do not want them in charge of anything in our government, least of all the 2010 census. In fact if I have my way, I would have them investigated, long and hard. The funding to ACORN and its affiliates, from the government, must be stopped pending impartial audits and investigations. Let them face up to the allegations against them, and get them resolved, before taxpayers get ripped of any more by them. The President and his administration needs to stop protecting his political buddies. They work for us, the people. Investigate them.
7. Redistribution of wealth.
UNACCEPTABLE!! I work hard for the money I make. They have already taken more taxes then they need, and the rest is mine. I will use it as I see fit. Not as the government declares.
I never got a job from a poor person. I work for the wealthy because they are the ones that have jobs they are willing to pay me to do. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I work, they pay me a fair wage. If I want to help some less fortunate, I will. However, I will not be told who, and how much I must give.
8. Charitable contributions.
Seven leads very nicely into this one. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped quite a few in need. Charity begins at home. In our own communities. We know our needs better than the government ever will. We know best how to use our local resources to fulfill them. Simply enough, even for the government to understand. we want to do it ourselves.
9. Corporate bailouts.
Enough is enough. Let them sink or swim, just like the rest of us. Quick and painful? Yes. Will it hurt the economy? Probably. But only temporarily. No more then borrowing, and spending more money then I can even comprehend to try to save them. The economy will recover. Probably faster, and by all means stronger then ever. We will work together in hard times. We always do. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Sadly this is not the case today. We cannot disappoint them more than they have disappointed us.
10. Transparency and accountability.
How about it? Our President campaigned on this issue. It was one of his most important, not to mention most repeated, promises. I guess that is just one more of his promises broken. It’s time they stop manipulating and trying to appease us with clever slogans, and slick ‘infomercials’ from the White House over the Obama network. We are not the idiots they obviously take us for. They need to stop sneaking around and meeting behind closed doors. Stop making deals with their friends that are hurtful to the American people. One day, there WILL BE accountability. Maybe in the form of investigations, maybe simply by voting them out of office. They WILL be held accountable.
11. Unprecedented, never ending, spending.
Stop it!! We are out of money. Our national debt is too large to be calculated without a super computer. They are spending money as if we have some to spend. In order for us, as individuals, to live, we must balance our house hold budget. If we keep spending money we do not have, you can be sure we will end up in bankruptcy court. Yet today they seem to believe that the only way to save our failing economy is to spend more. The VP even said so. Stop it, for Heaven’s sake, before the Chinese end up owning our country because U.S. is in foreclose.
12. Growing government control.
Now this is a really simple one. Stop it. We do not want, nor do we need, to be controlled by any one government body. We need the states rights and sovereignty fully restored. We cannot be free if the government controls our lives. We need far less government in our lives. We need to shrink it to a point that is serves the people, not controls them. Mind your own business Congress. We can take care of ourselves.
While your at it, stop allowing your Liberal judges to make laws from the bench. For starters this is illegal. The congress is the law making body in this land. At least according to the Constitution. You do remember the constitution, right?? You know, it's that document that tells us what you can and cannot do. Oh, I forgot. You don't play that way anymore.

It is also my immovable belief that if this country would take these concepts to heart, we might one day find the America we all loved, and still dream of, and will love again, if allowed.

I do not normally use this page for political purposes. However, due to the events that have occurred since January 20, 2009 I have decided to make, at least, a temporary change of mind.
Many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, have called upon America to unite behind Obama.
Well, I want to make it perfectly clear to anyone who will listen that I REFUSE!

I will respect the Office he holds, I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith, and I will pray for him, because praying for him, is indirectly praying for my country. BUT that’s it!!!
I have begun to do all I can to make sure that He is a one-term President!
Why?
It is because I do not share Obama's vision or Value system for America;
I do not share his Abortion beliefs;
I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;
I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed four times since August);
I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;
I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;
I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;
I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegal's than American Citizens who need help;
I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;
I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;
I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);
I strongly opposed to his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America;
I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East;

My vision of America is decidedly different from Obama's, and I have a much higher obligation to my God, and to my Country, to do what is RIGHT for both!

For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, brainwashed us by using numerous entertainers who would have no platform and not a whipstitch of true credibility outside of their celebrity status. They have unmercifully attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs, and have portrayed anyone in opposition to them and ‘right wing fanatics’ at the very best!
They have not even attempted to move toward the center in their beliefs, and their philosophies, as was their claim. They have never even attempted to come together with the rest of the country, nor have they compromised their personal beliefs in any way, for the betterment of our country! They have done everything possible to portray my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!
They have been a viciously vocal, and highly irreverent minority for years; they have mocked our religion, and attacked the very core values, so important to the founding and growth of our great country! These very values are responsible for making the United States of America the envy of the entire world. They would destroy them now with the help of a ‘rubber stamp’ of a President.
They have made every effort to remove the name of God and/or Jesus Christ from our Society! They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear arms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech for anyone other than themselves!

I am sure many of you who will read this will think that I am going overboard, but I absolutely refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of true Evil!
PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!! Additionally, he was the only President who suffered a terrorist attack on American soil.
Our founding fathers, put the laws of this country in place so that majority rules in America. I will gladly honor the concept. However, I will fight with all of my power and abilities to be a voice in opposition against Obama and "his goals for America ."
I will be a thorn in the side of all those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our country from within!! This includes every single Liberal, regardless of party affiliation, in the House, and the Senate, or in my own state, that will support Obama in any way. More compromise is simply more defeat!
I pray that the results of Mr. Obama’s ONLY term of office will serve as a wake up call for the many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed this Socialist-Marxist anti-God crowd to slowly change our society so much that they have brought us to what I am certain is the brink of disaster. Sometime back I posted this in the group forum. Since then I’ve been asked to send copies to a number of members. As it’s been quite a while, and we have more than doubled our membership, I thought it might be an idea to post it as a journal here in the group. I hope you will find it of value. Pray Always
Once I was asked by a friend, ‘Why does the bible tell us to pray always, day and night. What advantage is there when we know that God will answer our one prayer as easily and many.’
‘You opened your eyes this morning when you woke up., I told him. You kept them open all the way to your car. What is the advantage of keeping your eyes open then while your driving?’ He looked at me like I was stupid. “Well, it might be handy to keep from having a wreak.” he said. Exactly the point. By keeping your eyes open you can see the danger coming and steer away from it to keep yourself from harm. By praying you keep yourself from a spiritual wreak.
He was actually correct in on part though. God will still answer our prayers even if it’s only a single prayer each morning. Yet, just like keeping our eyes open behind the wheel of a car, keeping in touch the Father helps you to see Satin’s dangerous road blocks in our life and guide away from them.
And, don’t ever think that Satin is not out there building those road blocks in our lives. Just because we don’t talk about him as much as we do God, does not mean he’s no longer around. If anything he’s even more active than ever before. All you have to do is look. You’ll find his handy work every where. The way I look at it, that is the whole point of praying all the time.
‘So, how am I supposed to just stop what I’m doing, and go find a place and pray?’ I think this is a mistake that most people make when they want to talk with God. They think they have to be on their knees, hands folded, and using the examples of prayer we find in the bible when ever we pray.
A prayer can be as simple as “Thank you God.” for anything good that happens to you, no matter how small, or insignificant. Maybe for a close parking space at the store. Maybe you do as I do and just talk with Him, the same as talking to your best friend, on the way to work or when going home at night. Thank Him for the good day you just had. Ask Him to help you have a better day tomorrow. Praise him, and let Him know in words how you cherish Him, talk with him about the troubles in your life, and if they are small, thank Him for that. I doesn’t have to be the grand prayers you hear from the pulpit on Sunday morning. It simply has to be from the heart. From your heart. Let Him know what you feel. You may find that a bunch of those ‘road blocks’ that been removed from your road of life.
Oh, one other thing. Don’t be surprised if, when your praying like this, if some of the strangest, and not so nice, thoughts pop into your head. Those are some of those ‘road blocks’ I mentioned earlier. There is a simple fix though. Just pause and say, aloud or in you mind, “Satin, in the name of Jesus I take charge of you, and command you to leave me! Thank you Jesus for the power over him!” He’ll leave. He knows when he’s out matched.
