I can't recall what I even said. I was a management advocate while working and I had dealings with the IBEW up in Dayton Ohio at Wright Patterson AFB. We never had a quiet relationship. Every three years we'd renew the existing contract...the whole time they were there as I recall. No grievances or ULPs. Definitely, unions have a place in the workplace, but sadly, many of the biggest unions have outgrown themselves and their membership's needs. Unions helped put Chrysler and GM and almost Ford on the chopping block. The UAW contract was over 2,000 pages I recall someone telling me. Contracts between management and the unions need just a few elements to be effective: Fair wages paid for the type and level of fair work accomplished. Like benefits for the type and level of work performed. Increase in anything, based on merit only. Upward mobility from within. Unambigous language. Effective and open venues for communication and grievances with reasonable timeframes fro resolution of any complaints. Liek I say, my dealings with the IBEW was at most, once every three years...because we had a very good and simple contract.

Sweety huh...we'll sweety back to you Pat. Jim

Sweety,
I've been with the IBEW Electrical union for 35 years. I said befor I don't have a voice with my Union, as they are very far left and should be ashamed of there selfs. But they are a good union as far as healthcare, and wages. But I agree the unons should not be aloud to give money to either side!!!!

Sorry If I missed understood you!!
