Mostly retired after working for various chemical companies. One still employs me as a parttime consultant. In addition to the interests listed, I like to work parttime jobs for as long as they are fun or interesting. In the past 5 years, I have: worked as a movie extra; driven limos, Brinks trucks (also armed guard for Brinks), and hearses; and worked for the LA Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. My wife and I enjoy travel. We have vacationed in Greece, Uzbekistan, Italy, Denmark, Russia, Mexico, and Canada. In May 2008 we will vacation in Kiev, Ukraine. I have two sons, a close former stepson and stepdaughter, several grandkids, one dog, and two or three friends. My roots are Scots-Irish. My great (times 4) grandfather Newton was the grandfather of Jack Newton Daniel. I checked Atheist on the choice for religious belief because there was no choice for "no religious belief." Some of the nicest and most intelligent people I've met proclaim no religious belief.
