About Me

I love AARP due to that the many things they have that we can all learn about. Young people can use the site such as learning about medical mistakes the over 50 has made when they were in thier 20s and what to do to avoid making the same mistakes

Interests:
I love volunteerism such as helping out at the airport and at the hospital when there is a full linen bag or bag of trash sitting on floor, I help out.

Working as one of the older floor techs at the hospital

One of the hottest places for hiring older workers is St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Missouri.  They found out very fast that the best workers are NOT the young ones.  At times they turn to those who are 40, 50, and even older.  Now I am a floor tech where I run a floor buffer and sometimes other floor machines when nessesary.  With today's economy in the condition it's in, they feel that it's much better in keeping me as their regular part-time worker.  The young workers at times that do see me enjoy learning about my talks of history.  However, some of the machines we have are not all that friendly towards senior citizens when it comes to operating them.  Pacific who makes the Fury buffer which I do run seems to make their neck release handle quite hard to turn.  The Tennant Speedshine 1600 which is also built by Nobles has a release lever on the back and when you have the neck set to how you want it, you just let it go.  Some of the younger workers who are also floor techs are quickly learning from me.  That is that you just take the machine and go slow with it.  Just let the heavy duty motor do the heavy work.
