What an wonderful story. My mother was there when I had knee surgery as a young adult. Of course I can also remember her being there every day...all day, when I was hospitalized for a year with kidney disease - this was many years ago when I was 6. Mom's truly a marvel. She's 83, walks up to six miles a day and is a real inspiration to me.
