All of you who claim to have read the bill, please give me the page# that backs your point because I can't find. All I have read on this blog are accusations written by people in fear. Change is always a reason for fear. What would AARP have to gain by going against the best interest of it's members? The AMA American Medical Association and the ANA American Nursing Association both endorse this bill. What would they have to gain by going against the best interest of their patients?

Like Obama, AARP hasnt read the bill either. The bill is proposing to steal a lot of its funding from an already under funded medicare program and further reduce cost by encouraging Seniors to not except necessary health care. The whole thing is just and guise to get government intuding into our lives and destroying yet another freedom.

I think we can all best respond by canceling our AARP membership. That is what I am going to do.

If this is the way AARP is looking out for us, why do we need to continue paying dues. AARP is not reading the bill, only listening to Obama. He simply says what he needs to in order to get has agenda passed. So long AARP!!!

Ok, all you right wingers. Can any one copy paste a section from the bill that will disprove what the AARP has published? Please go to the bill and proove with facts it so I can believe you.

It is more than disappointing that AARP is actually swallowing the party line, and telling its members that this plan has a lot of good in it. As long as it is a government plan, how much good can there be? None. When will real Americans rise up and say, "Enough is enough?" The liberal democratic party is actually dangerous to our way of life, as drafted by our early fathers of the Constitution. The Republican party has lost its identity, and has become a sad and sorry bunch of wimps. Since I cannot organize a full blown Tea Party like the earlier one in Boston harbor, may I suggest we all mail our congressman a tea bag, with a short note that reads, "You are not listening! You are ignoring us!" If they have just half a brain, the message should be clear. Will it take another revolution? For those of you who are not yet convinced of the folly, ask yourself which government run program is working. Is the Post Office succesful? Is your local DMV really an example of efficiency? Medicare and Medicaid are fraught with outrageous fraud! Our borders are overrun with outlaws, while our law enforcement personnel are handcuffed. Our tax dollars are being distributed to illegal aliens without our approval...in fact against our wishes. Maybe public prayer could help--except, wait, that's not legal. Wake up folks. Your freedoms are geing stolen from you, and our Constituion is rapidly becming worthless. This will continue if good people do nothing. Once gone, we may never be able to get America back. Stand up. Demand representation that is representative, that listens to the people. Think about it. Like the insurance commercial asks, "Are you in good hands?"

Why would I want to pay with my money or my services for millions of people who have entered our country illegally? If this bill is passed we seniors will HAVE to take end of life counseling and give up medical procedures due to our age. Why does the AARP think that this administration is their friend? Feed up in the South

I can't believe the garbage that Obama and his clowns are trying to shove down our throats...I do not want the government in my face telling me what to do...He and the senate and the congress will not have the lousy insurance they want us to have..He hates our constituation and wants to re-write it according to him!!!

I can''t agree more with you Liz....if Americans don't wake up and take notice we will be The United Socialist States of America...and I'm not being funny...what this president is doing to what was our government is a travesty....and I hope AARP membership will wake up and smell the roses and look for a way to regain those freedoms we have lost...
