Stop the Myths, Get the Facts on Health Care Reform

Throughout the debate on how to fix what’s broken about our health care system, AARP pledges to help you cut through the noise and find the facts about what health care reform means for you and your family.  When we see special interests using scare tactics, we’ll make sure you’re given the facts so you can make informed decisions about health care reform. Check out AARP’s blog this week, which is highlighting some of the most common myths being spread about health care reform and the facts that prove them wrong.

I am ashamed to be a member of AARP. They support healthcare reform but only to further enrich their insurance sales. It is too bad that this is all about greed. I definitely think health care reform has nothing to do with helping the citizens, young or old, who need health care. It is about big pharma getting paid for its drugs, about attorneys getting paid exhorbitant fees for suing doctors, and about doctors still having to pay through the nose for malpractice insurance. This whole health care debate is about making sure that the government (we taxpayers) pay for all the unnecessary drugs that are being prescribed, for all the frivolous lawsuits, for illegal immigrants to have health care so big hospitals are reimbursed for federally-mandated care to illegals, etc., This is so unfair to the poor American taxpayer who works so that the government can take his paycheck and spread it all around to people who are dependent on the "government" to take care of them. The American taxpayer always gets the short end of the stick. It's time to STOP the insanity in Congress. We need to tell them NO, NO, NO. Stop the spending, stick to your budget, get back to traditional Christian American values. We are not a liberal, or muslim nation, we are a free, Christian nation! I don't care how many times Obama denies it!!!!!

Thanks for contributing your Pravdaesque talking points to the "open dialogue", comrade. Comrade Molatav could not have said it any better. Everything is perfect here at Animal Farm. All I want to know is "in what way specifically is the AARP nonpartisan???? Is there a non-communist wing of the AARP, because that is the one I would like to join. Can anyone help me here????

P.S. I just looked at your profile. Maybe Comrade Molatav would not be so effusive in his praise for you. You have listed that you work directly for Mother AARP. The great communicator would certainly have thrown his voice through a private citizen to at least feign independence from the Mother State. "Long live proletarian internationalism."

I am no longer subscribing or supporting AARP. You are supposed to be supporting seniors over 50 and you are supporting Obama and his Hitler ways in starting to exterminate senior citizens with this healthcare bill. Shame on you AARP your membership is declining. Anyone or organization the supports Obama and his criminal cronies are not to be trusted

Why in the world would we trust you? Your blogs are flooded with opposing views to Obamacare and you continue to ignore it. I don't trust anything you say. Just saying - you are a bunch of liars
