Time is running out. Some 31,000 Maine residents may still be eligible for the federal economic stimulus payment, but many of them might not know it.
The economic stimulus payment is a one time payment of $300 for individuals and $600 for married couples filing jointly and more if there are children in the home.
Altogether more than $9 million dollars in Maine could go unclaimed if people do not file by October 15, 2008.
Remember call 877-353-3771 or visit www.aarp.org/stimulushelp for help and claim your economic stimulus payment.
