Andrus House Ribbon Cutting

Andrus House Ribbon Cutting
On June 5, the AARP Andrus House opened officially with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This vacant Northeast Washington home was transformed with universal design principals -- invisible design elements that make it user friendly for people of all ages and abilities -- in honor of AARP's 50th Anniversary. The DC government, Christian Commuities Group Homes, Clark Construction, Rebuilding Together and 30 organizations in all were key to the effort. The Andrus House will be home to 6 independent low income older Washingtonians.
