AARP representatives were among the volunteers from Arkansans Against Abusive Payday Lending who took calls from consumers during a special 7 on Your Side feature story on abusive payday lending. The call-in show followed an announcement by the state attorney general that payday lenders should cease and desist making and collecting payday loans carrying outrageous charges, often 300 percent or more.
