The AARP Bulletin accepts no unsolicited manuscripts. A query letter must precede articles commissioned by the Bulletin. The few free-lance articles approved by the editor usually run between 600-1,500 words, and address the interests of those 50 and older. We are a national newspaper with a large and diverse circulation, so topics must be of national (rather than local) appeal.
If you would like to submit a story idea, please send it to AARP Bulletin, 601 E St. NW, Washington, DC. 20049 for review.
