Advertising Specifications
General Ad Requirements for AARP.org
- We accept GIF, JPEG, SWF and Third Party Served ads. (Email newsletter advertising can only accept GIF, JPEG, or text ads.)
- Creative with a white background must have a minimum 1-pixel border to differentiate the ad from AARP.org content.
- Any sound must be user-initiated, defined as a click and not a mouseover or rollover, and clearly labeled with "Play" and "Stop"controls.
- Up to 3 additional loads of up to 50K each may be initiated after a user moves their cursor over or clicks on the ad.
- When using Flash, the frame rate must be less than 18 frames per second; twelve frames per second is preferred.
- Specific Rich Media instructions available upon request.

Delivery Deadline:
Banners: 5 business days prior to start date
Multiple banner rotations of more than 3 ads per month require an additional 3 days
Newsletter: 10 business days prior to drop date
