What are "impressions?"

The term "impressions" refers to the number of times your ad was served (delivered). When you review a report on your campaign performance it will indicate how many impressions were delivered, as well as how many "clicks" (the number of times users clicked on the banner).

Where exactly will my messages appear?

Your banner messages will appear within the areas outlined in your contract. This varies by contract. Ask your sales representative for more details.

Why is the animation loop required to stop at six seconds?

This is the AARP standard. Industry studies show that animation longer than six seconds negatively impacts the performance of the banner.

Can I use rich media banners with my campaign?

AARP.org does not support Rich Media banners including Flash banner ads.

Does AARP.org accept third Party Ad Serving?

Yes.

How can I review the performance of my campaign?

An account management representative will provide you with login information to review the performance of rotating banners. Email newsletters and Fixed Banner Ad performance will be provided by your account management representative.
