Retired Educators Associations

NRTA: Idaho State REA

The Retired Educators' Association of Idaho (REAI) is "the voice of educational personnel and retirees." Any retired or active educator from any part of the education community or any person with an active interest in education is welcome to become a member. It was founded in 1960.

REAI members enjoy receiving the organization's newsletter, Gems, along with a host of other member benefits including an affiliation with the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), stimulating programs, opportunities for service and social activities. REAI also works with local REAI units across the state and has statewide Legislative and Pensions/Insurance committees. And finally, REAI members can tap into national programs and resources from NRTA: AARP's Educator Community. Membership dues are just $15.00 per year.

The current president of REAI is Ms. Barbara Bowen (teach@pocketmail.com).
