Statement from Bill Novelli on the Passage of the Older Americans Act

AARP CEO, Bill Novelli, made the following statement today in response to the House and Senate passage of the Older Americans Act:

"AARP is pleased to see Congress reauthorize the Older Americans Act. We strongly support the essential programs and services provided for in the Act, such as family caregiver assistance, elder abuse prevention, and job training for low-income older workers.

AARP commends Senators Enzi, Kennedy, DeWine and Mikulski, as well as Representatives McKeon, Miller, Tiberi and Hinojosa, for their exceptional leadership in working together across the aisle to pass this important piece of legislation."
