AARP: Happy 65th Birthday, President Clinton
WASHINGTON – AARP CEO A. Barry Rand issued the following statement to commemorate the birthday of former President William J. Clinton, who turns 65 on August 19th:
“For many people, a 65th birthday is not just an occasion to reflect on the accomplishments and experiences they’ve already had. Instead, we’ve learned from our members over the years that it is also an opportunity to set our sights on what they have left to do.
“President Clinton has had a remarkable career in public service and continues to affect change through his work. It is certain that he will approach this milestone with a renewed sense of purpose, ignited by the innovators and leaders of our day. He is, after all, part of the Baby Boom generation, which has shaped the experiences and character of our nation.
“Just as many members of your generation, may you continue to push beyond the barriers set by those before you. Happy birthday, President Clinton.”
