WASHINGTON, DC — Washington SmartCEO has selected AARP Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer Terry Bradwell as a recipient of the 2015 Executive Management Award for his exceptional IT leadership at AARP. Through Bradwell’s “NEW IT” strategy, he has cultivated positive changes that have increased IT leadership engagement and encouraged IT staff to present innovative ideas. Moreover, he is helping to promote digital literacy among people 50-plus through AARP TEK’s local workshops, online training center and AARP’s new RealPad tablet.
“Recognizing technology barriers and delivering solutions to meet the training and adoption needs of people 50-plus is something that our team strives to do every day,” says Terry Bradwell, AARP EVP & CIO. “It’s an honor to win this prestigious award for that work and a privilege to serve the community that AARP represents.”
