2012 Drive To End Hunger Race Season Opens In Overdrive

For 2012, a seasoned Drive to End Hunger pit crew is pulling out all the stops, boosting its efforts to raise awareness and money to fight older adult hunger in each of the 22 races where the four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon and his No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet appear.

As word about Drive to End Hunger spreads, more recruits are joining the battle against hunger. Newest up is Quaker State. In Wal-Mart stores from February 1 through March 31, you can a buy a custom five-quart can of Quaker State motor oil featuring Jeff Gordon and his No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet. Twenty-five cents from the sale of each container will be donated to AARP Foundation for Drive to End Hunger - up to $50,000.

This is also the season of “2s:” Jeff Gordon’s 20th full-time season in the Cup series, Hendrick Motorsports is one win away from its 200th in Cup competition and Gordon will once again drive his No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet, sponsored by AARP, in 22 races. The proceeds from fundraising campaigns related to Drive to End Hunger will benefit AARP Foundation and its work to address hunger among Americans 50+.

Donate now to Drive to End Hunger! We’ll all be winners.
