Dave Nelson, MBA, is a business leader from Old Greenwich, Conn. He serves on the Governance Committee and is chair of the AARP Foundation Board of Directors. After a 33-year career at IBM, he pursued an encore career as chief operating officer of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship. For his work with NFTE, he was named a 2006 Purpose Prize Fellow. He is vice chair of the board of VaporStream, a Chicago-based software firm, and serves on the boards of CenterLight Healthcare and the Literacy Assistance Center, both in New York City.
