Charley Reed is a long-term care consultant from Olympia, Wash. He serves on the Member and Social Impact Committee, the AARP National Policy Council and the AARP Services Health Products Quality Review Committee. He is a long-term care consultant for his firm, C.E. Reed and Associates. He was previously deputy secretary of Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services and assistant secretary of Washington’s Administration of Aging and Adult Services. He also served as chair of both the National Academy for State Health Policy’s Long-Term Care Committee and the Washington State Home Care Quality Authority.
