Richard "Dick" Randazzo joined AARP in September 2010 as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. He provides leadership in building and supporting a work force that meets AARP's strategic goals and tactical challenges. 

Mr. Randazzo has extensive expertise in total quality and human resources management to drive business results. Prior to AARP, he served as senior vice president, human resources, for Federal-Mogul Corp., where he managed the company's growth and restructuring from $1.8 billion in sales to a $6.5 billion global enterprise. During his tenure he implemented policies and programs that improved operational performance and ensured alignment with the corporation's goals.

He previously served as senior vice president, human resources, for Nextel Communications. There, his organizational design effort pulled together 170 acquisitions and three significant mergers. In a similar position at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Mr. Randazzo participated in the turnaround of a number of acquired business units and introduced total quality management to all 52 business units. As vice president, personnel, for the U.S. Marketing Group of Xerox Corp., he organized human resources in support of quality and helped the organization win the National Quality Award.

Mr. Randazzo is a past member of the board of directors of Laidlaw International Corp. and is a fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources. He holds a B.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.
