Richard “Dick” Randazzo joined AARP in 2010 as executive vice president and chief human resources officer.  He provides leadership in building and supporting a workforce that meets AARP’s strategic goals and tactical challenges.

Randazzo has extensive expertise in total quality and human resources management and uses it to drive business results. Prior to AARP he served as senior vice president, human resources, for Federal-Mogul Corp., where he was on a team that managed the company’s growth and restructuring from  $1.6B in sales to a $6.5B global enterprise. He also implemented policies and programs that improved operational performance and ensured alignment with the corporation’s goals. In 2001 Federal-Mogul filed for bankruptcy protection because of growing asbestos liability, presenting the human resource function with some interesting challenges.

He previously served in human resources leadership positions for Nextel Communications, Asea Brown Boveri and Xerox Corp. At Xerox he led a sub team contributing to Xerox’s winning the National Quality Award.  Randazzo is a past member of the board of directors of Laidlaw International Corp. and is a fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources. He holds a B.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Indiana University.
