Hollis "Terry" Bradwell III

Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer

Terry Bradwell, the executive vice president and chief information officer of AARP, is directly responsible for providing strategic guidance and expertise in all areas related to the association’s technology strategy. Managing a $150 million operational and capital budget, he has oversight of the delivery and support of technology services for all AARP stakeholders including members, volunteers, advocates, donors, external business partners and internal staff. With over 25 years of domestic and international experience in information technology development, delivery and management, he has held a number of senior leadership positions. He previously served as AARP’s vice president of Application Services Management. Prior to joining AARP, he worked as a principal for IBM’s Media and Entertainment practice, with a primary focus of turning around troubled IT projects and corporate change management initiatives. While at IBM, he successfully led the turnaround efforts of AARP’s first integrated membership management system (Konnex) as well as establishing the framework for AARP’s chief information officer (CIO) role.

Previously, he served as solution delivery executive for Gaming-Technologies Corporation (G-Tech), leading the  implementation of On-line Lottery Systems (OLS) in Michigan, New Hampshire, Maine, Texas and California, as well as national lotteries in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Chile, Brazil, Austrialia, Taiwan and Finland. These extremely fast-paced OLS implementations included setting up complete data centers, satellite communications and supporting three layers of real-time redundancy, as well as  simultaneously bringing online as many as 50,000 lotto ticket retailers.

Prior to  G-Tech, he resided  in Amsterdam and served as Intergraph Corporation’s technology liaison for their European sales and manufacturing operations. During this period, Intergraph was ranked second in worldwide sales of turnkey CAD/CAM systems. He played a critical role in leading the successful implementation of custom sales, manufacturing and distribution support systems in facilities located in seven countries across Western Europe.

He holds a B.S. degree in computer information systems from Florida A&M University that he earned while on a full athletic scholarship. His primary residence in Miami. He is an accomplished musician, composer and music producer. He performs with and develops talented musicians in the Miami area. … Back to Article
