Giving in to The Temptations

On Friday, May 31, 2013, The Life@50+ dance party was in Las Vegas with two Motown favorites performing exclusively for Life@50+ attendees. The Temptations started off the evening with a concert featuring their greatest hits, bringing the audience to its feet to dance the night away.

Over the Top, Times Four

The Four Tops kept the excitement going, energizing attendees with performances of their chart-topping songs. They owned the stage with their smooth dance moves and inspired the audience to try some of their own out on the floor of the concert hall in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Dancing the Night Away

The audience crowded the dance floor to enjoy the music of these legendary Motown groups and kick up their heels for an evening of fun and excitement.

The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You

Between the sets of The Temptations and The Four Tops, the Mariachi Los Gavilanes band from Monaco Middle School in Las Vegas treated the audience to Latin rhythms to keep their toes tapping. These young performers lit up the stage and were a huge hit with the Life@50+ crowd!

The Stars Were Out

Throughout Life@50+ Las Vegas, the Movies for Grownups® Film Festival offered attendees the opportunity to hear from the stars of the stellar lineup of films showcased. AARP Entertainment Editor Meg Grant, far left, hosted, from right, director and star Billy Bob Thornton and his co-stars, Katherine LaNasa and Ron White, to answer audience questions after the screening of Jayne Mansfield's Car. Vega in Vegas

Musical performances weren’t limited to the evening concerts. Tata Vega, one of the singers featured in Twenty Feet From Stardom, performed at the film’s screening and participated in a postscreening audience Q&A session with the film's director, Morgan Neville.
