Dr. Adam Gazzaley is a board-certified neurologist and university professor who specializes in studying how brains handle memory, attention and aging. He established and now directs the Neuroscience Imaging Center, a research laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is also an associate professor of neurology, physiology and psychiatry at UCSF.
Gazzaley recently wrote and hosted the nationally televised, PBS- sponsored special, "The Distracted Mind with Dr. Adam Gazzaley." He has written 50 scholarly articles and is widely quoted in the news media.
This New York City native discovered his passion for studying the brain during his undergraduate studies. He later received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees in neuroscience at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in
