Dottie Peoples is a gospel singer who is celebrating 30 years of music and ministry. One of 10 children, Peoples grew up in Ohio but spent summers in Alabama with her grandmother, Big Mama, who sang in her church choir. After singing throughout high school, Peoples began touring with Dorothy Norwood; they opened for the Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder.
After working in several professions, Peoples returned to her gospel roots by directing the music staff of her church and producing her first gospel album. Since the release of that work, Surely God is Able, Peoples has recorded and appeared on more than 30 albums. The latest release by the three-time Grammy nominee is “I Got This.”
