
Beth Tracton-Bishop leads the research agenda for The Hartford’s Advance 50 Team. In this capacity, she directs The Hartford’s partnership with the Andrus Gerontology Center at USC and the MIT AgeLab, where she is a visiting scholar. An expert in older driver safety, Tracton-Bishop recently co-led a groundbreaking project on driving evaluations with MIT AgeLab and the American Occupational Therapy Association. She also co-authored several award-winning guidebooks on driver safety.
Tracton-Bishop earned a bachelor’s in sociology from Ohio University, and a master’s and a Ph.D. in sociology from South Dakota State University. She holds a graduate certificate in gerontology from the University of Utah.
