En español | Two best friends flew from Washington state to Los Angeles last September to enjoy three days of informative sessions, lively concerts and a jam-packed exhibit hall during Life@50+/ AARP's National Event & Expo.
"We had a wonderful time, especially meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends," Karen Roberts said. Noting that she previously attended four Life@50+ events in different cities, Karen added, "We definitely take advantage of the great AARP hotel rates and stay extra days to see the local sights." Karen and Kristina are already recruiting friends to join them in New Orleans for the 2012 event.
Other ways in which AARP helped people enjoy life and save money in 2011 included:
- British Airways announced exclusive AARP-member savings on flights to the United Kingdom and beyond.
- New discounts on dining and entertainment made enjoying time with family and friends more affordable, such as at Landry's Restaurants and Regal Cinemas.
- Financial Guidance Services provided by Charles Schwab offered AARP members access to guidance and resources to help make decisions at every stage of life.
