About Viking River Cruises
Viking River Cruises is the world’s leading river cruise line, with 21 ships sailing the rivers of Europe, Russia and China. Viking River Cruises offer more itineraries with more departures than any other river cruise line. Their ships average about 150 passengers in Europe, 200 in Russia, and 300 in China, which often dock right in the heart of town, providing ‘walk-right off your ship access’ into Europe, Russia or China. Low-cost airfare, transfers, and extended hotel-stay packages in many ‘must-see’ cities are also available, making it easy to book your entire vacation with one call.

Why choose Viking?
Travel with us onboard our own fleet of deluxe ships with all-outside, river-view cabins. Each trip comes complete with shore excursions led by English-speaking guides and onboard gourmet meals. We offer an intimate, up-close way to explore your destination, with ships featuring panoramic windows and sun decks to view passing scenery; inviting public rooms including pleasant bars, cozy libraries and a charming restaurant. And all our ships are directly managed by our own Swiss hotel management team, ensuring quality, consistency, and good service wherever you travel with us.

Itineraries

Europe & Russia
Cruises are offered on Europe’s most scenic waterways, including the Rhine (flowing through Switzerland, France, Germany and Holland); the Main and Danube Rivers (flowing through Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary); the Elbe (eastern Germany and the Czech Republic); the Rhône, Saône and Seine Rivers of France; the Neva and Volga in Russia; and the Dnieper in Ukraine.

China
In China, cruisetours are offered featuring land stays at 5-star hotels in Beijing, Xian (home of the Terra Cotta Warriors), and Shanghai; combined with a Yangtze River cruise highlighting The Three Gorges, Lesser Gorges, and world-famous Three Gorges Dam. Our Western management oversees all aspects of your trip, and local offices in Beijing and Chongqing ensure quality in-country management as well. Onboard Chinese meals are designed by Martin Yan and alternate with Western menus, ensuring culinary variety as you sail. We offer the newest, most deluxe ships on the Yangtze in China — Viking Century Sky and sister Viking Century Sun—six deck, all balcony ships, with a full Western-equipped kitchen serving both Chinese and Western meals, and a gym, beauty salon, massage rooms, internet center, and medical center.
