Peter Greenberg
Peter Greenberg is a nationally respected travel expert who devotes his skills as an investigative journalist to helping people enjoy positive travel experiences.
Perhaps best known as travel editor for NBC's "Today Show," Greenberg has provided travel expertise and advice to AARP members via the Association's publications, web site and major events. He writes a bimonthly column for AARP The Magazine titled "The Contrarian Traveler."
He is also a best-selling author of the New York Times bestselling "Travel Detective" book series, including the recent Complete Travel Detective Bible. He also hosts the nationally syndicated Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio show, now heard on more than 150 stations nationwide. Greenberg is a contributing editor for Men's Health and Best Life magazines, a contributor to The New Yorker magazine and a guest on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "The View."
Greenberg began his career in journalism as West Coast correspondent for Newsweek. In 1985, he began his TV career as travel correspondent for ABC's Good Morning America, and moved to the NBC "Today Show," CNBC and MSNBC in 1995.
His Emmy Award for best investigative reporting honored his ABC "20/20" special, "What Happened to the Children?" a report about the last orphan flight out of Vietnam in 1975.
He remains active as a volunteer fireman in New York, and lives in New York, Los Angeles, Bangkok and most major airports around the world.
