Dr. Laura Berman
Dr. Laura Berman has nearly two decades of experience as a sex educator, researcher and therapist. She is director of the Berman Center in Chicago, a specialized healthcare facility that helps women repair their sex lives and find relief from menopausal symptoms. She is also an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics, gynecology and psychiatry at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Illinois.
Her latest book is The Passion Prescription: 10 Weeks to Your Best Sex Ever. She co-authored The New York Times best-selling book, For Women Only: A Revolutionary Guide to Overcoming Sexual Dysfunction and Reclaiming Your Sex Life as well as Secrets of the Sexually Satisfied Woman: 10 Keys to Unlocking Ultimate Pleasure.
Dr. Berman writes a column for the Chicago Sun-Times. She has also starred in Showtime's television series, "Sexual Healing," and has appeared on CNN, "The Oprah Winfrey Show," NBC's "Today Show", Fox News and other media outlets.
She serves on the foundation board of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, and is a member of the American Association of Sex Educators Counselors and Therapists and the National Association of Social Workers.
Dr. Berman has been honored by the Israel Cancer Center Research Fund, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Los Angeles Business Journal.
After obtaining a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Doctorate in Health Education and Therapy (specializing in human sexuality) at New York University, she completed a training fellowship in Sexual Therapy with the Department of Psychiatry, New York University Medical Center.
