Bill Boggs
Bill Boggs knows what it takes to succeed. He interviewed 44 leaders in their fields to write Got What It Takes? Successful People Reveal How They Made It to the Top, and has had an interesting career himself. He was a game show host for CBS, a news anchor for WNBC-TV, moderator of a steamy late-night series on ABC-TV and host and executive producer of FOX-TV's "Comedy Tonight." He helped create "Court TV," was executive producer of the "Morton Downey, Jr. Show," and hosted "Championship Boxing Update" for Showtime for several years.
Boggs began his talk-show career as producer/host of "Southern Exposure with Bill Boggs." In 1980, he published a novel. Today, as speaker and writer, Boggs shares stories of self-empowerment drawn from first-hand experience with some of the world's most successful people. He has written essays and travel pieces for the New York Times, and is a featured columnist for Blacktie International Magazine. He has appeared as himself in several movies and television series, including Trading Places, The Lemon Sisters, The Eyes of Laura Marz, OZ, "The Dave Chappelle Show," "As The World Turns," "Spin City" and "Miami Vice."
Boggs graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and has an M.A. from Penn's Annenberg School. He is on the Board of Governors of the Friars Club of New York and is a member of the New York Athletic Club and Yale Club. He was named a 2000 "Father of the Year" by the National Father's Day Committee.
