Cindy Halstenson

Cindy Halstenson is a registered dietitian and a certified diabetes educator who has more than 25 years of experience in working with consumers in hospitals, at clinics and diabetes care centers and via telephonic health promotion and disease management.  Currently, Halstenson is a clinical program manager who provides self-management support for more than 100,000 people with diabetes through the Diabetes ActiveCare^TM Program, which is the wellness program operated by UnitedHealth Group’s Prescription Solutions® medical supplies service.  She also develops educational tools and materials for diabetes educators.  Halstenson was educated at the University of Alabama, and the University of Minnesota, and is now based in Minnetonka, MN.
