Dr. James Galloway is the regional health administrator for the U.S. Public Health Service for Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Ohio. He oversees policies involving disease prevention, health promotion, women’s and minority health, the reduction of health disparities, the fight against HIV/AIDS, and emergency planning. Dr. Galloway is board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiology. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completing his residency at the University of Vermont, Dr. Galloway provided cardiac care to Native Americans in the Southwest and as senior cardiologist for the Indian Health Service. He is also an associate professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
