Valerie Jarrett, top adviser to President Barack Obama, addressed hundreds of people who stood in line for her session about health care reform. "If Not Now, Then When?!" she exclaimed. She said she's known the president for a number of years and has "never seen him more committed" to an issue as he is to health care reform. She said that Congress is intent on action, too.
Jarrett implored the audience to help spread the correct information about the issue: "We need you to knock down the myths and tell the truth about health care reform," she said.
Phyllis Semsch of Prescott, Ariz., was among the crowd waiting to get in the session. She wanted to know more about health care reform and how it would affect Medicare. She said, "This is something that has a lot of bad information" circulating about it.
