Don’t miss the chance to take part in this year’s AARP University. Vote for the session you would like to see part of this year’s program. The session with the greatest number of votes will be featured as an "Attendee Choice" session at Vegas@50+.  We want to hear from you, so take a minute to read about the choices, then cast your vote in the Poll box at left!

The six candidates are:

1. Medicare Basics: Get important information that current and future age-50+ beneficiaries need to know about Medicare, such as: How can I get the most value from Medicare? Who is eligible? How can I sign up? What does it cost? What services are covered? And will Medicare be there when I need it?
2. Retiring Abroad: Explore the pros and cons of retiring abroad and feature services, including concierges that can help every step of the way—from house listings to health-insurance providers to immigration lawyers, cultural activities, mailing, taxes, and domestic service.
3. For Women Who Care for Others: Caregiving can be a full-time job. How can you juggle it all—parenting, working, and caregiving—and who is going to take care of you? Learn tips for creating a secure retirement plan that includes options for long-term care, so that you can navigate the later years of your life with independence and peace of mind.
4. Maximizing Your Membership: How to Get the Most Value: AARP has hundreds of benefits and ways to make your life richer. Are you taking advantage of them and getting the most out of your membership? In this interactive session, we’ll help you navigate our many benefits to identify ones that can bring the most value—and savings—to you.
5. Home Design: Discover the latest trends in home design, focusing on safe, comfortable living with style. You’ll learn how to apply the concepts of Universal Design to your home in ways that best fit the needs of you and your family. We’ll also show you tricks for making your home more accessible without sacrificing style—or your wallet!
6. Medicine Myths Exposed: Think keeping track of your drugs is challenging? AARP experts and a pharmacy professor will help you demystify commonly held beliefs about medicine, use drugs safely and appropriately, and potentially reduce your drug costs. While this is not designed as a clinical session, it will help you enhance your health-communication skills so you can get the most benefit from your medicines.
