Through most of her distinguished reporting career, Sheilah Kast has focused on the economy and workplace and how they affect people's lives. Well known to viewers of public television, ABC News, and CNN, she has covered the White House and Congress.
Kast also reported on the Washington aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. Her stories included an investigation of anthrax in the mails and the struggles of bereaved Pentagon families to secure benefits.
At The Washington Star, in her first reporting job, Kast covered financial regulation, taxes, and energy. Her expertise in these important issues eventually led her to start a national public-television show, "This Week in Business," which she hosted in association with Business Week magazine.
Ms. Kast is a skilled interviewer. She has often hosted NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday and has her own current-affairs interview show on public radio in Maryland.
Representative Bosma was first elected in 1986 to represent House District 88, which today encompasses the northeast portion of Marion County and parts of southern Hamilton County. He rose quickly through the leadership ranks of the Republican Caucus, and was selected as Republican Floor leader in 1994 and Republican Leader in 2000. After Republicans became the majority party in 2004, Brian was selected as Speaker of the House. After the 2006 election, Brian was again picked to lead his caucus as House Republican Leader.

The State Legislative Department bolsters the ACLU’s work in state legislatures by analyzing legislation, providing background research, offering legislative strategy and acting as a liaison between policy experts and ACLU state lobbyists working on the ground.

During more than two decades of experience managing grassroots and “grass tops” campaigns, Benton has helped guide statewide campaigns, state and local legislative initiatives and corporate public affairs campaigns.
Before joining IWF in 2003, Lukas worked on Capitol Hill, as the senior domestic policy analyst for the House Republican Policy Committee under the stewardship of Chairman Christopher Cox, and then as professional staff for the House Select Committee on Homeland Security of the U.S. House of Representatives. Lukas also has worked at the Cato Institute as a Social Security policy analyst.
Lukas holds a bachelor of arts from Princeton University and a master's in public policy from Harvard University.
