The writer and linguistics professor Deborah Tannen is noted for her ability to gracefully interpret what people are really trying to say.
She has tackled the complicated relations between men and women, both at home and at work. And her recent bestseller, "You're Wearing That?," dissects the often difficult relationships between mothers and daughters.
Her new book, "You Were Always Mom's Favorite!," is about sisters.
In it, Tannen shares some of the valuable lessons she's learned about how sisters interact. She starts with the insights she gained growing up and growing older with her own two sisters.
