For centuries we’ve known about the catastrophic effect of pollution on the earth, from damaging the ozone to destroying our wetlands. But, have you ever thought about the impact pollution has on your health? Perhaps the environment, as much as diet or genetics, is contributing to certain illnesses associated with growing older, like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.
Dr. Jill Stein, founder of Massachusetts Coalition for Healthy Communities and Dr. Ted Schettler, Science Director of the Science and Environmental Health Network have intensively researched pollution's effect on aging and child development.
They've compiled their findings in a new report titled "Environmental Threats to Healthy Aging."
