Lee Woodruff's first book, written with her husband, Bob, recounted the aftermath of the accident he suffered while in Iraq reporting for ABC News. When an IED exploded near the tank he was riding in, Bob was left with a traumatic brain injury that put his life and career at risk.
Lee and Bob wrote the story of his recovery—and theirs as a family—in her book, "In an Instant: A Family's Journey of Love and Healing."
Now she's back with the first book under her solo byline, "Perfectly Imperfect: A Life in Progress." This new set of essays details Lee's life in her multiple familial roles: wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Then there's also the role of friend. For a woman who seemingly had it all, she reveals what life really is like behind the scenes, sharing her story, as one reviewer says, "with candor and clarity."
