We go behind the scenes with Pete Docter, co-director of the new movie, “Up,” from Pixar.

“Up” is the story of an unlikely friendship between a young Boy Scout and a former balloon salesman (voiced by Ed Asner) who take off on an unexpected adventure.

The subtext of the film, Docter tells Alyne Ellis, is how one copes with loss – but the story is full of chuckles and charm.  He says it's meant to provide a bridge between generations. Listen to Alyne's report with our audio player at left.

“If we can get kids to look to their grandparents in a new way… that would be pretty neat,” says Docter.
